Allow enough in that budget for savings

Factor in additional costs.

Set yourself a limit

Borrow within your means

Forget what the neighbours and work associates think! In 10 years they wont matter.

They will be the first to criticise your decision so don’t try to “Keep up with the Jones”.

Real estate fluctuates in financial cycles - Your house may go down in value;
- Your house may have negative equity;
- It will go up over 10 years.

Focus on real value – social value.

The caveman chose on – safety, security, sleep, sexual intimacy, self-esteem and self-actualisation. Not on any other reason.

The sound value of home ownership makes it worth the effort despite sacrifices that may be needed in life.

Just think – No more agent periodic inspections, having to pack up and shift again, or being treated like a second-class citizen.

Home ownership removes the shackles from of renting uncertainty.
In the meantime, get ready to deal with information overload, including fear, anticipation and joy, and all the emotions of buying.
